Loving my button machine
"The machine is a well engineered and constructed item. This plus the perfect pins is making exceptional buttons. Before making the purchase I had some 3” buttons made online, which look fine. However, they donʻt come near the quality of the ones Iʻm producing!"

this button maker is quite
"this button maker is quite evidently well made. The construction is entirely a sturdy metal- really feels powerful in one’s hand. The process to make a single button is so easy- a chimp could be taught to do it (Not that I have done so, but theoretically). The cutter for the button machine is a bit harder to master and requires a steady hand. In my opinion, this facet of the kit could be done better however, compared to purchasing other makers and cutter separately, this cutter is a quality product for a steal of a price! I’ve only ruined one button of the several dozens I’ve made, and that was due to accidentally placing two metal basses in at a time. Despite this, the machine was sturdy and unbothered by the abuse and continued to operate perfectly. The first few buttons required and very significant amount of pressure applied to the handle to form, but after about 5 buttons, this became much easier. Regardless, one would need to perform this action on a sturdy counter top. This machine is perfect for school fundraisers, party favors, advertising and more. Portable, efficient, and well made. Definetly considering purchasing another. If I could do it over again, I’d purchase a smaller size rather than a 2 1/4”, because more people seem to be interested in pins that are a size down."

As I've never used a
"As I've never used a button press before, I was not aware of the potential to jam, and because there are stickers all over the thing about voiding the warranty, I assumed I would have to return this after one use. It's a good thing the jam occurred after business hours, as I then spent more time searching the website than I would have, where I stumbled on the video of how to unjam. This information should have been included in the box, in the instructions, and more prominently on the website. I was able to get it working again, but raising the the top die above the level of the lower die does not happen automatically. It does separate from the lower die (not jammed), but I have to jar the press to get it to raise the rest of the way to be able to slide the dies over, and just trying to lift it by hand requires some force. So some information about lubrication and maintenance would be helpful as well. And then, the pin backs for the 1 inch buttons were different than I expected. I managed to figure out that you don't have to force the pins into the collar before placing the collar in the die. But instructions here would have been appreciated, too. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the press. Once I learned to use it, it makes perfect buttons every time. Worth the cost."

Bought a 3 inch button
"Bought a 3 inch button machine more than 30 years ago. It finally stopped working correctly, so I bought a new one. Works as well as the first one I bought 30 years ago. Love it. Wish the square and rectangle button machines weren't so expensive, I would buy one of those also. Making lots of creative things with my machine."

I am going out of
"I am going out of my way to come back here almost 3 years after I purchased my metal button machine (2.25") to leave a review. This was one of the best purchases I have ever made! What started off as me making a few dozen buttons here and there for local campaigns ended up with me now having my own Etsy shop that sold over 8,000 buttons last year! This button machine I bought from Neil has been SUPER durable, easy to use, and is in the same tip top shape as it was when I bought it years ago. Glad I did my homework on button machines before I purchased one, and very grateful for the one I received from Neil Enterprises!"
